A big reason why is because of the block system that was implemented to help lessen the cheater problems is just abused to make ranked easier. The amount of players I have beaten because of a pure fundamental difference just to get blocked by them happens all the time.

Whats the point in doing Jack-8’s old input for his bluespark uppercut over the simplified input for a tiny bit less damage. It even comes out 6 frames slower because of the whole input. Where as you can just do the easy one instantly. #TEKKEN8

Just know that this guy was somehow on a 5 streak too from whoever was bad enough to lose to him. A literal green rank player in Bushin. The whole set was just him spamming powercrush as soon as I hit him or heat into heatsmash as well as 30 damage combos from any launch 💀💀💀

There is definitely more Defense in 8 due to Offence you have to deal with but its just fact that there are so many trump cards that are basically just plus on block rage arts that are unreactable like King.
