My theory about the reuse of code on limited platforms is that one can only benefit from it for the early titles. As the coders' mastery and public awareness of the platform increase, the expectations raise accordingly, and code reuse becomes counterproductive.

Here's something I've always enjoyed about the original WipEout logo: it's made of the chopped up (and slightly modified) Eurostile letterform for the number 8. (The slight modifications are straightening out things like the tops of the u and the i.) #WipEout #typography
