Richard Thaler got a Nobel for discovering 'nudge,' something that philosophers have been talking about from a thousand years. Plato, Hume, Hegel, Marx all have explained the mechanism of ideology (nudge) a ton times better and in more detail than these economists

I grew up considering Dawkins and Sam Harris (the New Atheists) to be some great thinkers. They are also insufferable idiots due to their lack of any understanding of human societies. But w/o going through that phase I might have missed a very critical element of myself today

I really like liver doc. We need an army of people against psuedoscience in this country. Only thing about him is that he doesn't understand the limits of Science; He's ill educated like many scientists/medical practitioners there and I say that despite being a bigger skeptic.
