Blocking is a mindset more than anything. There are many different stances and positions to block from. However, it doesn’t matter what position you block from if the runner is able to take an extra base because you didn’t keep the ball close enough to “stall” that baserunner.

Receiving: Great way to steal more strikes by moving the ball back to the zone is to think about “mirroring” the shape of the pitch with your glove. In this example, JT Realmuto mirrors the shape of this breaking ball and moves it back towards the center of his body

Why should you take bullpens seriously?It’s the closest you can get to realistic game speed reps without being in an actual game. Great time to work on throwing fundamentals, blocking from a live arm, etc. EVERY. REP. COUNTS. You’re either getting better or worse.
