Consistent w/ what we've been saying all along. The housing affordability crisis is macroeconomic. This study, way more thorough than any correlation=causation analysis we've seen done by Pew or others, highlights income growth & other factors as drivers. nber.org/papers/w33576

Zoning hasn’t changed in decades. If affordable homes existed five years ago, zoning was not and is not the problem. Creating wealth for homebuilders does not create affordable houses.
