People think Europe depends on Russia for energy because it lacks its own, but 15 years ago Europe exported more natural gas than Russia does today. Now, Russia exports 3x more gas than Europe produces. Why? Because climate activists, partly funded by Russia, blocked fracking.

One disturbing aspect of this story is how Prof. Lhermie, the head of an ag policy school in Calgary, says farmers have “remained relatively unaffected” by Canada’s climate policies. Yikes! Speaks to the need of farm organizations to reach out to these ill-informed academics.

A government spokesperson from the federal Ministry of Heritage says “A free and independent press is a cornerstone of democracy”. I wholeheartedly agree. However it is also true that any media outlet that accepts a gov’t subsidy instantly ceases to be “free and independent”.
