@CMOH_Alberta Yes. This goes against all the 'best practices' of Public Health. If our government wants to make a political stand on this they can. But, I would very much value our CMOH taking a stand for Public Health. That is very much our lane.

By charging $100 for COVD vaccinations, the Province of Alberta is undermining efforts to prevent a disease that killed more Canadians than the number of Canadian soldiers killed in World War 1. This is unconscionable and dangerous.

Healthcare systems ought work to increase access to vaxxes for MD's/clinicians/HCW rather than set up roadblocks. Covid & other infections can take out our healthcare system by taking out the ppl who are the healthcare system.

It was awesome in the past. I would get vaxed in the clinic, between seeing patients, or at a public site in the University. Success requires that vaccination is made as simple as possible for the *recipient*. The exact opposite of what GoA is doing for all.
