I want to strongly support and echo this message from the Minister. The Measles vaccine is safe and effective. Vaccines really do work! In a HC system that is already struggling, the last thing AB needs is an outbreak of a preventable highly transmissible virus.

If I got paid this much for my panel size of about 1000 patients I’d be getting a raise. I’m 10 years into practice and still 6 figures in debt. I’m so tired of being undervalued.

In 23y of practice, after 14y of post-secondary ed, I've never had that high an income for my 1000 patients despite working 50+ hours weekly. And recall, my overhead comes OUT of my income. And recall, family docs have NO pension, benefits, vacation. open.alberta.ca/publications/n…

Real example: patient with a brain bleed from a tumor and low platelets was placed in a hallway bed and had to walk down the hall to use a washroom. If they fell, doctor held accountable. People need to hold gov’t accountable for inadequate and dangerous hospital accommodation.
An internist friend was lamenting about the massive increase in complaints they have had against them and that they have had to respond to regarding patients roomed in hallways. They have zero control over this. Bed coordinators place the patients, docs take on the risk. Unfair.
