gonna start running tomorrow but I’m confused how it works… am I just supposed to literally take off running? that’s so embarrassing 😭
see.. y’all are already laughing. I’m not doing it!
@CELE6RITY You have to wear the outfit so other people don’t get scared and take off running too
@CELE6RITY Start running from inside your house to outside, that way people who saw you run first will literally think something chased you out of your house and it will be less awkward.
@CELE6RITY no like why is being a new runner so humbling 😭
@CELE6RITY Nah you gotta give it one of these then take off:
@CELE6RITY You are not the main character of anyone else's story. Chances are no one will even give you more than a glance. 🤷♀️
@CELE6RITY Mfs so socially anxious they cant even run any more
@CELE6RITY I learnt the 1-3 run-walk rule. On your first few days just a brisk walk. Then run for one minute and walk for 3 minutes and repeat the cycle. Don't run on concrete roads, it's not good for the bones and wear good shock absorbing shoes.
@CELE6RITY Imagine being so insecure that you won’t even go for a run without wondering what others are thinking about you, explains why you seek validation from strangers on the internet.
@CELE6RITY you need to put a "student runner" on your back
@CELE6RITY Somebody said start running from inside your house 😭😭😭
@CELE6RITY sprint. 30 secs running, cool down, then 30 secs again do it 6 times
@CELE6RITY Felt the same about the gym. I think its imposter syndrome. But you get rid of it once you start doing it regularly.
@CELE6RITY I’m too ashamed walking it is at least i can pretend Im going somewhere
@CELE6RITY you must kill the embarrassed person inside yourself
@CELE6RITY no because once you start running you can’t stop. not cause of stamina… but because stopping feels even weirder than starting 😭
Look up POSE running. Practice 30/60s (30 seconds running at 90% effort) then 60 seconds of a brisk walk. This will build up your endurance! Goal with walking is to keep your heart rate in zone 2 roughly, and running you’ll be in 4/5. Start slowly incorporating more distance with running (sustained cardio). Don’t get discouraged, it’ll take time but before you know it, you’ll be going far and it won’t take nearly as much effort as now! You got it 💪
@CELE6RITY Start by walking the distance you intend to run (I recommend atleast 5km+), Then keep alternating between running and walking till you get home, repeat daily until you can run the whole distance.
@CELE6RITY This made me laugh 😭 I’m sorry I couldn’t help it. Just start out by power walking, jogging, and then sprinting lmaooo.
@CELE6RITY Use the couch to 5k program. It’s Amazing.
@CELE6RITY No, you're supposed to scream while you're doing it.
@CELE6RITY Just walk outside, bounce around a few times, random leg stretch then take off😭😭😭
@CELE6RITY Start walking then pick up the pace and try jogging for 3-4 minutes at a gentle clip. Pace yourself for a 30 minute walk/run alternating with each. Don’t pressure yourself in the first weeks, you’ll naturally work up to running whole time eventually.
@CELE6RITY i have this thought ALL THE TIME like running is EMBARRASSING
@CELE6RITY "What others think of me is none of my business." - Eleanor Roosevelt
@CELE6RITY Imaging the freedom and confidence you’ll gain by doing something you think is embarrassing but is not at all. You’ll starting caring less about what people think and that’s so powerful to experience
@CELE6RITY I run marathons and I have the same thought sometimes. Like do people watch me go from standing around choosing my music to then just 🏃??? I think you realize very early on though that nobody gives a shit.
@CELE6RITY 🤣🤣🤣 follow a quick 15 minute HIT workout at home on YouTube and get your blood flowing.. then yes just take off 😭 run to the nearest corner store and back and see how you feel lol
@CELE6RITY Start by walking fast a bit and then break into like a jog. Might be good to take headphones to help with the stares😭
@CELE6RITY Lmaoo I start off walking then go into a jog
