Lived experience of the trauma - child protection - prison pipeline. This whole election has been about the need to invest in primary health to help alleviate demand in Hopsitals, the same analysis is needed when it comes to prisons.

So disrespectful to public sector workers who have no input into election policy committments, then supoosed to work day and night to deliver them in a 100 days. State Growth is one of the agencies who has to make this happen and right now they are offering 💵 to resign.

If they refuse to have these hard conversations about revenue then they should be honest with Tasmanians about what jobs and services are going to be cut. We can’t keep asking the public sector to do more & more with less. It’s working beyond its capacity & that serves no one.

We don’t have a public sector that is to big, we have one that doesn’t raise enough revenue to provide the services Tasmanians want, and is promised to us, with endless election and policy announcements.

There are significant savings that can be made with change but not if government refuses to speak with and listen to public sector workers. The reality is Tasmania political leaders needs to get serious about revenue raising.
