Multiple universities have reported a malicious denial of service attack which started around 15:00, making internet access intermittent. Incoming connections to websites, VLE, VPN will also be impacted. UIS is working with JISC to restore service.
We believe all services have been restored, if you still have issues connecting to core services please get in touch. However, the phones issue remains and UIS are still investigating, so please use our self-service portal or email the [email protected] ^DRC
We have completed installing new hardware and are working through the remedial tasks to ensure continuity of service. However, the following services are still affected; VLE, SDHS, access to virtual servers and websites. We aim to get these services working tomorrow. ^DRC

UIS: We’ve implemented a fix for the problem that prevented a significant number of staff from accessing their Microsoft accounts, but will take a while to filter through to everyone. We’ll provide a further update later today when we believe everyone’s access has been restored.
UIS advises that the fault with Teams and Exchange Online has been found and access is being restored to those who lost it. This may take some time. Next update is at 10:30 am.

We are currently experiencing some issues this morning which is affecting the following services; IT Support Portal, Citrix service including Mints anywhere, SDHS and Transfer Server, our website including CSCS Guides. Our Infrastructure team are investigating. ^DH
Due to an aircon failure in the server room, systems may be disrupted at short or no notice. An engineer is on site and investigating, temporary arrangements are being put in place. ^PG
All medschl email services are now running normally and we continue to investigate the root cause of the issue. ^ja
We have been experiencing medschl email issues today affecting sending and recieving mail and webmail. The problem has been partially resolved and some people are now getting email as normal but we continue to work to resolve it for all. ^ja
We are experiencing medschl email issues affecting Outlook, mobile mail clients and webmail. We are urgently investigating and will keep Twitter updated as we learn more. ^ja
Some users of medschl email are not getting email to some mobile devices (phones and tablets) and we are investigating. Please use a desktop mail client or webmail if you suspect you are not receiving email. ^ja

UIS have unlocked all accounts that were locked and affecting access to Microsoft apps for Cam accounts. Please try logging in again. UIS will continue to monitor and you can see their status page here status.uis.cam.ac.uk ^ja
Teams error re locked cam accounts - UIS are deploying a fix that should unlock accounts affected by the current issue. This affects Team and OneDrive plus other MS services. The fix may take a few hours. We will provide a further updates. ^ja
