Leaders who listen to their employees, act on their concerns, treat all equally, are transparent with information create a sense of belonging in their people leading to greater retention.

Leaders should accept that leading isn't solely pushing your views to others. Rather, listen to your employees, their insights, feedback etc & what you can learn & incorporate from them. Ensure people know that their views are important when it comes to success of the org.

People are increasingly seeking workplaces where they're treated equally, fairly, are respected & included, leadership is accountable, can be trusted, delivers on promises made & wellbeing is prioritised. And all that that these need is being genuinely more people centred.

Using data to inform internal comms is vital. It helps in enabling understanding, reassessing, changing what we do otherwise we’ll continue producing the same results if we don’t have clear oversight of how internal comms lands, impacts others, its outcomes etc.

Great internal comms means you help colleagues understand the why of any situation, idea, policy, etc that you're communicating. And if you can make them understand how it contributes to the organization's vision & how it affects them indirectly or directly, that's even better!

Internal comms puts people at the centre, facilitates better employee experiences etc. But more important to recognize is that positive change, trust building etc isn't about more internal comms but rather collective commitment to build a better culture from across the board.

Effective #internalcomms isn't about the amount of information sent to staff. Rather, it's about what you're communicating & why. Is it relevant & does it enable staff understand how it impacts them, the org? The how - do the channels reach all & enable two-way interaction?

It's not about saying you understand, you appreciate #diversity, you're #inclusive you listen to people's opinions & take them on, it's about praticising it & ensuring you live by these principles everyday.
