SEVERE THREAT: several schools have decided to do an early dismissal because of the severe weather threat, including Hardin County Schools.

We will be monitoring the weather throughout the afternoon. If severe weather is moving through the county during or close to dismissal times, we may hold students in secure locations in our buildings until the threat passes. We will communicate further if necessary.

The latest number of absences I have is 352 at 5:15 PM. The House and Senate are still gaveled in, so many teachers are likely still at the Capitol and have not yet put in their day.

Just a tip, all OC closings accounts do not know and information in regards to having school tomorrow. It is a waiting game. We wait and see what the call will be tonight.
