High School sports and activities should be widely considered as co-curricular activities and not necessary extra-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities is why more than 50% of the students show up to school every day. Who shows up excited about math/history/english🤣

We always had SEL in schools. It was called recess, play, Music, Art, Physical Education, etc. But now we limit or take them away & then we wonder why students lack social/emotional skills, resiliency, and the ability to connect with others.
