Some DevOps engineers can autoscale a cluster, optimize a Helm chart, and configure a perfect CI pipeline. But ask them what the app actually does? "Uh something about microservices?" If you don't understand the code you're deploying you're basically shell script in human form

Most "microservices" are just monoliths who binge-watched a Netflix tech talk and came back with trust issues. 12 tiny services tightly coupled, constantly breaking and attending daily standups together. Congrats you've just built a distributed monolith.
