It's very hard to argue against. If some of your team is in the office, you *have* to be there as a senior IC. People make all sorts of excuses but this is a fact.

An anecdote: A staff eng told me they joined a large co as full remote. The co was in-person before COVID. Both them & other remote staff+ people struggle to have the expected impact thanks to not having the same kind of trust as “old timers”. Anyone hear / experience similar?
