What started out as adding a luminosity factor preference, became a major change to my Color Toolbox app. Overall, the app now has a more consistent user interface. color.billanderson.app/2019/05/color-…
It started with adding a parameter for the luminosity factor, and expanded to illuminants, RGB, and more. Finally, I am to pre-release testing. Yes, there are multiple formulas for calculating luminosity. Afterall, it is just a scale positive values between 0 and 100+.

Surface colors scale from black to white. Magnesium Dioxide is the standard for white. The different luminosity formulas reflect the difference in how reflectance of Mgo is measured. Black is actually an extrapolation from the blackest paint.
