Hybris. Discovery Software, 1988. #Amiga
@CommodoreBlog Awesome chiptune score by the late Paul van der Valk.
@CommodoreBlog This looks great 👍 I grew up with an Atari ST, but really appreciate the Amiga.
@CommodoreBlog This is the game that made we want to get an amiga ASAP when it came out.
@CommodoreBlog I had Terra Cresta which looks very similar to this.
@CommodoreBlog I was never a big fan of shoot'em ups but this one I liked and the music was great.
@CommodoreBlog Unfortunate that the Amiga 500 sales were still behind those of the ST & later Amiga owners weren't aware or able to get good full blooded amiga stuff like this!
@CommodoreBlog I played that right through to the end! Hybris was one of the few successes I had with shoot-em-up games! It was a very good feeling to get to the final boss and finish it off!😃🙃🕹️
@CommodoreBlog unusual for leaning on the hardware sprites far more than other amiga games. they went back to the more usual "sprites for player+bullets, blitter for the enemies" for the sequel.
@CommodoreBlog Using Commando graphics?
