A thread about our depraved healthcare system, and a plea. In 2021, my friend Carole was diagnosed with terminal stage four cancer. A single parent with two kids, she had just turned 43. In 2017, she had watched her brother Chris die of the same cancer. He too was in his 40s.

Chris Pronger suffered commotio cordis after taking a slap shot to the chest in 1998. Praying for a similar recovery and outlook for Damar Hamlin…Pronger was back on the ice weeks later and played 12 more seasons en route to the Hockey Hall of Fame. 🙏

Came across a study on 90 year olds that were put on a strength training program They did 8 weeks of leg extensions (nothing else,just one exercise) All the participants got stronger, 2 of them stopped needing to use a cane to walk
