Thank you Mayor @AndreaHorwath for your leadership. "Adequate and affordable housing is THE MOST PRESSING issue that our city is facing." #HamOnt Video clip here: youtu.be/U2AYolu78Ic?t=…
@CraigCassar @AndreaHorwath And then she can't vote on the Vacant Home Tax lol. Why doesn't she sell her properties and help out right away?
@CraigCassar @AndreaHorwath Democratic failure on behalf of the mayor using powers over what people living in the area wanted. Thanks to Matt Francis for listening and standing with his constituents…
@CraigCassar @AndreaHorwath We have a crisis in affordable housing, and I can't believe how selfish people can be, not in my neighborhood. Well, guess what it is already in neighborhoods, so there's no excuse
@CraigCassar @AndreaHorwath Thanks Craig for being on board.
@CraigCassar @AndreaHorwath This has to be sarcasm right?
You can't be taken seriously, Craig. Hand-waving and virtue-signaling are not indications of a serious commitment to creating adequate and affordable housing. Outside of fishing around for other people's pockets to pick in order to make yourself look like some kind of a "people's hero," how many times have you hit your thumb with a hammer? When I was in my twenties, I occupied myself as a serious activist for the homeless. My blood, sweat, and DNA is embedded in the woodwork of the many homes, and in the ductwork of many hi rise apartments. My work continues to serve the occupants a full 40+ years later. If you want to talk the talk, you need to walk the walk.
@CraigCassar @AndreaHorwath Question - If the current mayor can use the power to start the project and it's unlikely it will start before the end of this term of council, if not relected and the next mayor use the same power to stop it?
