The "Patient Centred" regional health authority is based on patient postal codes. OHT's cannot substitute for LHINs because they are based on provider, not patient addresses. That is why LHINs are being maintained for 3 years and why agency will keep 5 "Legacy LHINs" forever.

No one in Gov't has experience with major health system change and this is the biggest system change ever suggested in ON health. Less significant change in NS, Alta and BC not successful. Will not save money and patients may get hurt. So question is WHY? thestar.com/opinion/contri…

I promise you as cancer surgeon that Cancer Care Ontario has saved 1000's of Ontarians' lives through best practices in cancer care. CCO has saved several billions of dollars by standardizing chemotherapy formularies. And based on BC experience we are about to kill CCO. WHY?
