Absolute carnage at home today. From what I gather, a failed test train being assisted by a loco, which I’m told would not budge. Anybody any ideas what the asterisks denote?

A challenging night for CS. 5C11 failed in a loop just south of Motherwell. 1M11 departed GLC on time and was held at CRS. A 66 was sent to rescue the failed 92. EDB coaches left in loop just north of Carstairs and 1M11 was propelled to join. Certainly a first for me!

A rather unusual one tonight… Here’s Southbound Lowlander 1C11 at EDB being hauled by 73969. This requires two small changes to MkV coach set up, as we would usually be hauled by a 92.

Following a glorious pilgrimage to Lourdes with the @LancasterDioces during my AL, I returned to home ready to work! My first @CalSleeper service? 1M16 on 01/08/2022 and 1S25 returning later that same day. Attached are some of the views, rather than me in my work gear!

A fully fledged Train Manager for the Caledonian Sleeper! Train working and shunting assessment completed Tuesday/Wednesday and a 9 hour rules assessment yesterday! I lived to tell the tale… 2 weeks of leave now before I’m catapulted out there. 🥂time! Bonne weekend!

My ‘East Coast’ day is off to a much better start! Jumped aboard 0615 KGX - EDI and am in the comfy seats. My first full run up this neck of the woods, due in for the final stages of my route learning consolidation. I suspect it won’t be too long before I’m out and about🤓.

Back on the rails route learning! Any idea where? This is the first place I have seen a modern LED ‘OFF’ indicator. Pictured is ‘WS9295 OFF (A)’. On approach I also managed to spy an LED ground position light. A day of firsts!

Would hate to be working out of EDI today… Gates to the station closed and queuing the length and width of the station. All incredibly well managed by a cheerful and professional staff! The advantage of the Sleeper being reservation only is you’re never full and standing🙌🏻❤️.

Very unnerving to see… Formerly in education, I truly appreciate the quality of my offered on the railway. We will NOT be shafted. Growing stronger with every interview, I have full confidence that Mr. Lynch + @RMTunion will see us right, just wait for BJ + GS to follow…

Currently onboard a London Northwestern Railway 350 and am not impressed🙄. HATE this configuration of 6 + 2 with seemingly no tables in standard. Is this a Southern thing? Never seen it up North! It’s not how I remember my runs on board in TPE days.
