Hitachi 750GB 2.5” sata HDD had suffered “stiction” where the heads had stuck down onto the data bearing platter, that usually spins at 7200 rpm. The heads were damaged during this failure so a head change recovery using donor parts was performed. 99.9% of the data was rescued
