Making a genealogical abstract from a will proved at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, which covers 9 pages in the register. I can only say that I wish the testator hadn't been so wealthy, and the clerk had half-decent handwriting. Grrr... #Genealogy #FamilyHistory

There are days when research feels a lot like standing at the bottom of a very tall mountain, equipped only with a slightly out of date map, a pac-a-mac, and a round of cheese'n'pickle sandwiches. But you know the views will be amazing if you ever get up there.
