In the Importance of Being Earnest, Jack Worthing was abandoned at Victoria Station as a baby and was named after a train ticket to the seaside town. Such randomness was rather common, as I found out by using @findmypast's newspaper archives. directdescent.substack.com/p/the-real-lif…
