Beautifully juicy, plump sloes, picked from the blackthorn bushes on our walk around Holes Bay, Dorset, are now bobbing in a litre of gin, slowly steeping until Christmas. Like our dithering approach to choosing our next poet for publication - it will be worth the wait!
