Friend of mine is negotiating for aesthetic surgery services. He was told they could get an NP or PA for 5% less. That means NPs and PAs are putting themselves out there as MD replacements and against scope of practice laws. Who trained these “midlevels” trying to do medicine.

After going unmatched in the match process and soap, can someone please tell me what I should do next? I am ECFMG certified, got a 226 on step 1, 231 on step 2 CK, and I’m currently studying for step 3. I just need 1 chance to prove myself. #SOAP2022 #Scramble2022

My day is 5a-7p. I carry the one pager for the entire ortho department and manage pages for ~60pts while the team operates. I do floor work, write notes, see consults etc. It’s fun+exhausting. But nothing is more exhausting than the disrespect I get from being a female physician.
