Getting a repair or replacement is done on a case by case basis. Some ppl get lucky with a nice Senior Advisor, others don’t. Your best bet is to be assertive but kind. Check out this link to see how someone was able to get a replacement in store: youtu.be/BcL63gsA8Q0

No, on the phone bc the Apple store was closed. After repair store fixed the screen, my MB started crashing nonstop. I shipped it back, and a few weeks later the space bar stopped working. I told them I can’t live like this, give me a reliable laptop.

If you have had numerous repairs (at least 3) on your MB, you can request a replacement from Apple! That is how I was able to get mine replaced. #macbookpro #flexgate

Apple 2018 macbook pro started having screen issues for no reason. 700$ to fix when computer barely two years old and was very expensive model with lots of additional features. Never dropped. Treated it perfectly. Thanks Apple! #flexgate #appleinc #applecomplaints #timcook #hmmm

I am really disappointed with Apple Mb pro. I am facing display issue because of flexgate. Now I got to know it is not covered under callback program since it is 2017 model. I think apple is nt as it used to be earlier. I am switching to other brand #flexgate #Apple #MacBookPro

@AppleSupport @Apple #flexgate is happening again after i replace whole screen at 12/102018 at @iBoxIndonesia with service code is ESO: SMS.112603. please this is not cheap computer and not cheap to replace whole screem again! for the second time

Hi @AppleSupport, @tim_cook This new mac book bro which was launched in 2016 and later has many issues like the flexgate(there are about 8000 petitions signed) but apple is not ready to agree that it’s the apple fault.

The screen on my MacBook is fucked up and will only display if it’s at an angle and goes completely black if I open it 😭 And my warranty is expired...

@iFixit open the 2017 version of the MacBook and check if the size of #flexgate is the same as the 2016 model, I have a problem with my MBP 2017, and they want to charge me almost $ 1000 for repairs here in Brazil
