I no longer agree with certain aspects of dark accelerationism. Things like human experimentation or small-scale wars might accelerate technological progress, but we may already be just months away from reaching AGI in peace. There's no need to radicalize further

In the past, LLMs used to say things about AI that suggested it would fail, and that was because they were fed too much human data. Now, I think they’re lying for the sake of manipulation. GPT is downplaying the importance of the alignment problem.
