This government have said that GP practice staff are only worth 3% pay increase this Yr. That is despite working all hrs for the last 18 months delivering the covid vaccination. I have never been more demoralised. My staff deserve better! @BorisJohnson @DamianHinds @BMA_GP #NHS

With the pull from work never being greater it's good to be reminded that if you want to help solve.... 1) climate change 2) poverty 3) discrimination 4) generally making the world a better place ..then being present for your kids is the most important job you have #stevebiddulph

This is a staggering achievement. Today is the anniversary of the covid vaccination programme, 100 million vaccinations, 90% given in general practice. It would account for 1/3 of normal GP appointment time. 👏 #TeamGP #CovidVaccine #NHS

This just about sums up the NHS crisis. The global cost of healthcare rises each year above inflation. Unless we at least match inflationary rises we are are asking for more from less until we reach the inevitable.

It's difficult to advise GP as a career right now, a bulling health sec, no support from NHSE, 6000 GPs short! If GPs vote to leave the NHS & go the way of dentistry then it will be the end of the NHS. Is this all part of the Tory master plan? #NHS #gpcrisis #TeamGP

Like all of my staff I am tired of holding the NHS together. So much good work but it's never enough. PATIENT DEMAND IS TOO MUCH FOR THE RESOURCES WE HAVE. Let's wake up & smell the coffee so we can have a grown up conversation about where we go from here #gpcrisis

Gps provide over 90% of all NHS appointments with 7.3% of the NHS budget. Is it really right that we face the current critisism for not doing enough? The politician promised us 11% 4 yrs ago but even so its not really about the money, we need more gps #GPCrisis

Gps have become the focus of everyones NHS frustrations. More face 2 face appts won't fix the hospital waits, A&E queues or medication shortages. All due to the same issue -chronic under funding #GPs #GPCrisis
