This is going to be reality for us GPs in BSW over the next 7 years. A true collaboration between community & 2ary care could have been commissioned. Instead the ICB chose to line the pockets of a private company. Another nail for NHS services and adds to the distrust of BSW ICB

I don't understand how DDRB calculate Partner income. They seem to base it on tax returns . Does that include private, non NHS income (and potentially even personal income from other non healthcare sources)? Anybody know? @BMA_GP @doctor_katie @MedicsMoney @WessexLMCs

RAPID ACCESS CHEST PAIN CLINICs Yesterday referring a person for an assessment of suspected angina - best locally 47 weeks - best nationally 15 weeks (200 miles away) This was & should be 2 weeks, impossible/unsafe for patients & GPs This Government is responsible for deaths

Hey @BMA_GP and @doctor_katie - I am quite confused by this pay uplift. To give all staff a 6% uplift plus on costs, is underfunded by 20% in NY practice with the 5% GMS increase. No way the 2% for partners can happen and that is before energy and inflation accounted for ...

£645m promised to Pharmacies to provide 15million appts to save GP time - Approx £43/appt GP £645m shortfall in funding this year due to inflation 10% 360million GP appts/year cost ~ £25 each If only there was some joined up thinking at NHSE & Govt FUND GPs to deliver appts

The GP recovery plan is a Tory PR exercise for the run into a GE. There is £240mil for phones & £645mil for pharmacies. No money for surgeries despite inflation, ⬆️ staff costs, ⬆️ energy bills. This is an aspiration document for primary care in a post partnership world. #TeamGP

What @SteveBarclay is suggesting for general practice is akin to Ed Sheeran selling more tickets for a sold out concert of his, but not putting on any more dates. You get it. Steve Barclay however doesn't. The main limiting factor is a lack of GPs. Fancy phones don't fix that.

Words are cheap @PrimaryCareNHS. Some examples of real gratitude would be ensuring funding streams (QoF, IIF) are guaranteed, ARRS shackles removed and lobbying alongside the BMA to sort punitive pension taxation. Sort it out.

My practice received 575 phone calls today. We have 10,200 patients. 1 person answered >100 calls. We also receive e-consults, emails, online bookings,med requests, >150 letters, walk in's. Funding based on 3 contacts per yr. Just don't have the staff to cope with this demand.

It's 6:30am. Already in the practice. 60 results, 30 letters to action before busy day of duty GP, routine clinic, MDT meeting and a partners meeting gets started. Can guarantee there are lots of GPs out there doing the same right now. #TeamGP

Why are @NHSEngland and @NikkiKF so wide of the mark here? Because, the GPs leading NHSE are just politicians & lie/bluster with the same audacity of this government. They are mouthpieces for a government determined to privatise the NHS and GP failing is oddly the biggest hurdle.
