I got completely out played today by my weekly training partner who is a much stronger player than me. It was a good lesson. 17…a5 was an inaccuracy that lost the tempo and gave him a strong initiative. Then the position became very difficult to play. #chesspunks

91% accuracy this morning in the KID from white was not enough against Boris’s strong play 💪. Nxb5 was an inaccuracy/mistake that allowed black good counter play and to take the initiative. BxNa4 a sizable blunder that left me completely lost afterwards. #chesspunks

Fun game in the Dubov Tarrasch! I Just started playing this. I was playing well until I got low on time and then made a few critical blunders that lost me the game. 18…g5 was a strong move I was seriously considering but was a coward to play it. 28…Ne6 was a draw. #chesspunks

This was my most accurate game to date with 97% and no blunders, mistakes or inaccuracies. Boris only had 1 inaccuracy and was 97% too. I really like playing this line against the 4…d5 in the Qc2 Nimzo variation. 11.Rc1 is a tricky and interesting move for white! #chesspunks

This was the first time I played the sharp 4…d5 variation with 7.Bh4 of the Qc2 Nimzo. In the video by @ben_finegold he says this line is too crazy and he plays this the boring way with 7.Bxf6. I can 💯 see why!!! But it was a fun game that I will learn a lot from. #chesspunks

Played an interesting and complex KID Makogonov variant against my weekly sparring partner/chess mentor. 3rd time I’ve played this variation and starting to get a feel for it’s play. Had chances and then got low on time and blundered in the endgame. @mencikdavid #chesspunks
