During the #BCStorm, amazing flood relief efforts were provided by private citizens & organizations like @GuidesAssoc, who rushed into the flood waters to rescue stranded travellers by boat, deliver food, transport people to critical medical appts, & save sturgeon & salmon. [1/3]
@GuidesAssoc They sprang into action using their own resources, including their own boats, fuel, & time. They continued to help in the days & weeks that followed w/flood recovery, as they distributed flood clean up kits to impacted homes and monitored for stranded sturgeon and salmon. [2/3]

When excessive rain in BC caused rivers to overflow, sturgeon swam out of the rivers and were stranded when the water receded. Our RescUAV Team has been working with the @GuidesAssoc to help relocate these fish by creating maps and flying aerial surveys. #drones #BCFloods
