One thing I've learned playing with using LLMs to create schema transformers (as either a github.com/HexaField/json… or javascript function) is it REALLY helps to have descriptions in the schemas. Like, essentially necessary for complex scenarios.

I just rewrote & modernised the 'jsonpath-object-transform' library by @dvdln, which describes transformation schemas using JSON Path to transform one data shape into another, completely using Copilot & GPT5. It now has more test coverage & compliance.

Why AI is a house of cards: 1. You pay $200 a year for an AI app (like Cursor). 2. Cursor pays OpenAI $500 for API tokens ($300 of which is VC funding). 3. OpenAI pays AWS $1000 for compute ($500 of which is VC funding). 4. $AWS pays $10k for $nvda GPUs. See the problem?

Why are there no monasteries dedicated to maintaining and perfecting software? Of course many good software engineers would be poached through very high compensation, but there are many software engineers who do fine on money and rather want personal spiritual progress.
