a friend asked, what’s it like having a toddler? I said it’s great but also stressful because they have more autonomy than sense. we laughed about it and thought about how that might apply to us too. then contemplated how we tend to suppress autonomy rather than cultivate sense
When I find myself discouraged because I'm creating a story that goes something like "I am not there yet... Long road ahead, etc.", I notice that speaking the words "I am here" a few times invokes pleasure. What I particularly like is that this doesn't object to the story.
