Cottony leak (Pythium fruit rot) on squash is most common in wet soil. Under humid conditions, white cottony growth appears on rotted area of fruit. Infection occurs through wounds on fruit in contact with soil. Most Cucurbits are susceptible & managing cottony leak is difficult
Southern rust is severe n some fields v much less n others n eastern Nebraska & still spreading under very favorable conditions. Once corn reaches R5 (dough) ROI for fungicide appl is unlikely & not recommended. FMI see
