A new pest is coming to the attention of entomologists in the Southeastern US, the two spotted cotton leaf hopper. These insects present two black spots on the fore wings and stay under the leaves of cotton feeding on sap.
Diplodia ear rot has been found in multiple states in 2025. No mycotoxins are associated with this ear rot in the US and Canada. Ear leaves generally die prematurely on infected ears.
