This is cardio from hell. 4 circuit stations. Done for reps. One after another, no breaks. Multiple rounds until 15min are reached.
Train your cardio. But not just any cardio. Should mimic cardio of a fight. High pace combined with moderate/low recovery pace. HIIT, circuits, chains, tabatas. All you need is 15-25min. Simulate intensity of a fight.
Watermelon 2024 season is on. The only post training rehydration needed. Nothing comes close. No juices, no sports drinks. Eat 1/3 or 1/2 right after training. Especially in summer months of training in the heat. Last year got to 33. On 2nd one so far.
Never take your eyes off. Strike, footwork, head movement. Always move. Never stand still. Drill to hit and when you get hit, don’t flinch.
Find that dog in you. Earn your spot. Mike Perry found his spot. He is a fucking animal. No one can take that from him and if they do they are the better killer. Got to respect that. You can see it in his eyes. He needs this and he needs to fight.
Majority are not your competition. They are done. Easy to beat. Bit of pressure and they fold. You can tell by how they respond to everyday situations & what they comment with. Instead of finding way to improve, learn, get better - they discard, disregard, trash. Loser mindset.
This is every time getting together. Swapping notes. It's always: what are you working on? what are you learning? what are you fixing? what are you drilling? got anything to use?
How to Implement Training Grip Work 1. Begin to switch certain exercises to a wider, thicker grip. Farmer carry, pull-ups. 2. Work grip at end of your training session as a finisher. Add 5-10 minutes at the end of a training session. Then pick 1 exercise to do for grip work.
Middle of the night is unlike anything else you ever get to experience. You are left alone to walk the empty streets and drive the empty roads when in just a few hours they’ll be packed. You’ll get a lot of shit figured out at night. Took these on many of the night walks.

Underused piece of equipment. Simple timer. Especially for cardio. Timed rounds. Timed rest. No stopping until time is up.

Metal grips are great way to work grip when you have downtime. Watching tv, fights, sitting in traffic. Do these for reps, for time or failure. You can also squeeze and hold until failure. These should be supplemental work. Not something you do during regular training session.
The problem is you are trying to deal with your inner voice using the same voice that created it. Instead, go train. Put in short but quality amount of sets, reps, hits. Physical work. Never fails.
Heavy bag carry is one of the best ways to develop unbreakable grip and suffocating squeeze. Grab the heaviest punching bag you have. Pick it up, clasp your hands around it using any grip and squeeze for time or until failure.

@ImAlexandrovich How does one train their "situational" muscle? Is it through methods such as meditation to remain calm in the day to day or bag work and sparring where understanding of competence allows for a more relaxed posture prior to action?
@ImAlexandrovich Hmm.. this distinction does make sense. I feel "jumpy" before action but when conflict or dangerous situations arise my focus is oddly calm and centered. Do you ever feel like your entire body is almost one tight muscle constantly ready for action?

@ImAlexandrovich Is flinching that bad? In myself I've noticed that I'm becoming more aware and cautious about external threats that now I'm slightly jumpy at sudden bangs and loud noises. On one hand I feel like a bitch, on the other the second something pops off I feel ready for battle.
