We have to be careful with signals that say “the market was higher XX% of the time a year later”. For example, the S&P 500 was higher “a year later” between October 7, 2008 and October 7, 2009, but in between the maximum S&P 500 drawdown was 32%.

A rally attempt with improving technicals, coupled with a better-than-expected CPI report on October 13, would greatly assist the odds related to the new bull market scenario. October 13 is a little more than a week away. New bull markets can last years.
