Quick question for Blood Bankers! When issuing red cells, do BMS staff add some kind of comment or sticker to the labels when patients require transfusion through a blood warmer or is it clinical area responsibility to know the patient has a cold Ab? Just curious 🧐

Any A level student who is going on to study Biomedical science, if you are not willing to study any other course then at least go for the Biomedical science sandwich degree which is IBMS accredited. It'll save you hassle later on down the road

This is the first unit I’ve ever seen that’s labelled as ‘IgA’ neg! What’s the clinical significance? What circumstance would someone require these red cells? I’m intrigued!
