First month post-resigning some chunky retainers to focus more on project work. Already hit my ATH for revenue, admittedly got a monster project signed off that'd been the pipeline a while but still a promising start! Already enjoying my work more too, still early days though.
i think people don't understand how difficult it is to have 400 paying customers, at the same time. to get there, you will have to go through thousands of paying customers. imo this is much more realistic: - 50 customers - at $200/mo or even this: - 5 clients - at $2k/mo

It's so satisfying to audit a Google Ads account and find tons of ways they can improve. One of things that tells me a) I'm in the right game, and b) I need to double-down on audits. Definitely the highest impact I can have.
Insert every new campaign type/feature Google Ads has ever launched and this paragraph rings true. They'll fix it, but at the start their new stuff always sucks.
I've worked with more than 50 freelancers, it's amazing how low the bar is. And I'm not even talking about technical skills. Do those easy things and I'll guarantee you'll be in the top 5%: ‧ answer emails in < 48h ‧ deliver on time ‧ notify when having delay ‧…

I remember when I posted a couple weeks after my daughter was born how it was the best thing ever and some guy replied saying "yeh let's see how you feel in a few years" Well she's nearly 2 now and being her Dad is by orders of magnitude the greatest thing I've ever done.

Trimmed down my retained work to focus on projects without being totally irresponsible. I've just kept my 3 biggest clients, and now going all in on one-off audits & strategies. Suits my skillset and personality so much more. Feels good, will see if a good call in a few months.
