Today is a good day - I am working on planning a data lake implementation with the help of more than a few @SQLChick blog posts. Exciting stuff but a lot of questions to work through coming from a traditional DW viewpoint and moving towards the azure modern dw architecture

Why can’t there be an easy to use way to author ADF pipelines? Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Edge all have weird little issues with the web based GUI. Is there a downloadable IDE for Azure Data Factory?

And that is another exam passed - earned a score of 875 on it so I feel pretty dang good. Officially an Associate Azure Data Engineer now :)

Getting close to taking DP-201. Averaging 74.22 on practice exams so have a little more prep work but feeling confident I’ll be a certified Associate Azure Data Engineer by end of the month.

Took my first practice exam for DP-201 and actually came within 5% of a passing grade. Doesn’t seem like this one is going to be that different from DP-200...

Just passed DP-200! Was super confident going in, panicked a lot when I saw practice exam didn’t line up with exams, took a deep breath and smashed the exam in the face. Now to start prepping for DP-201!

Today’s the day - just ran through the practice exam again and scored an 86% on it so my last six practice attempts range from 83% to 93% - no reason to wait any longer. DP-200, here I come.

Just ran through the DP-200 practice exam with my morning coffee and missed 2 out of 46 questions. Think it’s time to go to the show and do this for reals. Fingers crossed that my streak of passing exams on first try doesn’t end on this one.

An excellently articulated statement and reasons why I stopped being involved in PASS several years ago. Hopefully things change course or a new community led efforts rises up to take its place

What better way is there to spend a Friday other than building out a POC using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics and PowerBI? Might even try to work in some Python and Databricks in :)
