Stop trying to start 6 new things at once. Most people don't fail because of lack of ability. They fail because they quit due to being overwhelmed. Find one critical area of shortcoming and focus intensely on it. Once the change is integrated, repeat.
I've found that I love seemingly paradoxical yet complimentary combinations. Confident but humble. Controlling kindly. Serious yet loose. When you combine both spectrums of an idea you get the whole idea, rather than one perspective of it.
If you're posting for the algorithm, you're not being true to yourself. You're serving a machine rather than your curiosity. Be excited to say something that others disagree with. There's more depth in one true opinion than a thousand "hot" opinions.
READ THAT BOOK! You know which one I’m talking about. Everyone has a book they know would help them but most procrastinate. Tomorrow will never come, start today.
Everyone’s journey is unique. Learning from others is beneficial but dangerous. Don’t assume what worked for them will work for you. Gain as much experience through trying things for yourself. Then you’ll know what works for you. Fuck around and find out.
If you’re not actively holding yourself accountable to your standards and vision, your life will be determined by those around you. Take full responsibility for where you are and where you are going. Only then will you be in control.
You are designed uniquely and SPECIFICALLY by God. Every genome in your DNA has been chosen for you in your exact situation. Gratitude for every aspect of yourself is in order for you to see the potential God has created you with.
I’ve learned a lot since I started a new life in Montana. Being truly responsible for myself has been difficult yet rewarding. I’ve never been in a better position in my life to excel forward. Seeing the truth that I have my fate in my hands doesn’t worry me, it EXCITES me.
What is the direction your life is heading in? Are you happy with it?
Stop consuming mindlessly. Stop letting the algorithm decide the content you watch. Garbage in -> Garbage out Spend some time sourcing the most high quality content that aligns with your vision. Then only go to those sources.
Your Ego is your sense of self and is fully malleable. In every moment it is changing. Are you the one directing that change?
The creation of novel ideas is inconsistent. They are unexpectedly born from consistent experience of applying your focus to meaningful work.
True Christians and Stoics have a similar directive: In every situation, do what is morally right. They don't fear death, persecution, poverty, or anything man can do. They only fear falling short of their standards.
Meditation is like adding a 2.5lb weight to progressively overload everyday for growth. However, unlike weight, meditation makes you lighter.
It's not about doing more. Do it better. Strive for excellence in all that you do. Use every action in every day as a chance to do it faster, cleaner, and COOLER.
Everyone wants to tell you what to do. Stop listening to the advice of everyone (including me) and decide for yourself where you want to go. If you choose everything you choose nothing. Choose yourself.
Unless you accept the responsibility life demands of you, you'll be avoiding it every day. Avoiding isn't freedom. Acceptance is.
The music you listen to shapes you. Find music that emulates the vibe you want to give off to other people. Use the music as a tool to create your optimal mind state.
