DID is so lonely. It seems counter to the idea, like yes, I have this system, I am truly never alone, ever. And yet I am so alone..

If a family is unable to provide a safe container for a child's emotions, the child shuts off that part of themselves. Living a full life without emotions is impossible. I know this from experience. Unfelt emotions freeze in the body and the result is mental and physical illness

Had an alter switch in the middle of a workday, leave in a panic, and start to drive home. We didn’t switch back until we were halfway home. Told my boss I had “suddenly felt sick” and had to leave. It is SO hard to communicate sometimes. -Lani #dissociatwt #systwt
