Squalls rushing their patterns over Lochan an t- Sagairt (Lochs of the Priest) in Applecross earlier today. The first time I’ve walked the footpath since completing my practice-based PhD on this landscape.. Meeting it anew. Letting go.

Finally, we visited Coille a' Thorra Ghairbh, where over the next four years we will be working to restore the living heritage of this incredible site into a vibrant community-owned Atlantic Rainforest, putting Applecross on the map for community-led ecological restoration.

In the community tree nursery, we explained how through community participation in local provenance seed-collection events, we have grown over 3000 Sessile oak and Hazel saplings ready to be planted out in Applecross Community Woodland.
