What's the difference between "barbaric" and "barbarous"? "Barbaric" is formed from the 3+ ion, while "barbarous" is formed from the 2+ ion. Hey, at least I entertain myself.

One of the most practical reforms we could make to US healthcare is requiring there only be ONE biller per physical location. They should have to handle billing for sub-providers. The "SURPRISE! You actually owe money to three companies you've never heard of!" is so ridiculous.

Some days it feels like most people have a beeswax candle and I have a firework. Others say, "Ooh! Look what you can do!" And sure, for brief moments it can be great. But have you ever tried to actually get stuff done by the light of one firework? I can't really recommend it.

Automation "replaced" cashiers. Look how well that's going. Grocery/convenience stores are getting rid of it and people generally hate the experience of ordering fast food so much that McDonalds (the early adopter) is prioritizing employees taking your order over the kiosks.

Interesting game they're playing with the percentages. Note that it's % *of the total convictions*. The argument isn't "they aren't criminals", but that "they're committing MORE nonviolent crimes than violent ones". Not arrests. 130,800 CONVICTIONS. No big deal, right? 🙄
