Spent all last year learning the tricks of the trade doing the work myself. This year, started delegating the work, trying to not pick up a brushā¦.. it didnāt happen, peep the exterior I just did solo. Working 4pm - 9pm over 4 daysā¦. But am only picking up the labor work whenā¦
Finally was able to address clients outrage on work. Paint on the vanity was valid, took me 7 min to clean it all off. Splatter came off the roller and my painter didnāt have it covered. Will talk with him and use this as a learning experience. Pretty sure that led to nitā¦
So hereās a good oneā¦ Customer tells me we left paint spray on her vanity (we didnāt spray anything) and missed a spot by the shower. I say, no problem touchups happen, Iāll come fix it. She says ānah, Iāll just do it myself.ā Fast forward a weekā¦ sheās pissed again, saysā¦
Manā¦ building a dream gets lonely sometimes. When youāre from a small town where everyone is comfortable, pushing for more makes you the odd one out. Most days it feels like me, myself, and I against the world. Likeā¦ā¦can I get one buddy whoād rather brainstorm business overā¦
We squeezed a customer in when no one else even called her back. Got her project done in 2 weeks worked Friday - Sunday to get an interior done during exterior season. (They agreed this was fine) Also did an extra coat on a room to make it perfect. Customers response?ā¦
Got yelled at by a customer the other day for following up on a quote. She did not like the price at all and it was my fault, and how dare me to follow up. Like you can just not accept it š For context she thought the job was just a āslap some paint on itā but herā¦
I grew up on a farm, never upgraded to the new technology, a lot of manual labor over the years, stacking hay bales In 95Ā° heat for 10 hours. To me work = Manual Labor. Running a business, is quite the opposite. I struggle with that sometimes. I feel like Iām accomplishingā¦

Remember, there is nothing at the top of the mountainā¦ā¦ So pick a mountain you can never reach the top ofā¦ā¦. The journey is what matters.
