@MathieuChoplain @_arvind My spider-sense tells me that one of the key elements of Logbook is spotting the slack & tension in various path dependencies so that contributors can have a good sense of which things they should prioritize to keep things humming

I got a message from @soukiassianb about the new @logbook_so website. I love it. Here's why. 1) The website starts with a cinematic intro to the story behind the product. The squiggle at the bottom, which invites you to scroll, feels better than a mouse animation or arrow.

@richardclegg I almost instantly realised that Gantt charts were a total waste of time, but it took years to work up the courage to stop using them. How can anyone even tell a project is being managed if there isn't a Gantt chart giving you a spurious end date that you will sail past?

@rebeccalinnett I’m yet to manage to do an accurate Gantt chart. They’re too rigid and cause too much anxiety. I’ve never managed to stick to one (is that just me? 🙄)

Do you know what worked? A clear vision. Design-led development. Weekly demos to deciders who always made the call on what to do next. Clear communication between cross functional teams. Honest feedback. Managing risk as a function of the rate of actual progress toward goals.

A project is simply a dynamic *relay race* between dependent steps. And a better project management system would be one built around dependencies. A system that understand the logical flow of your project and dynamically coordinates the members of the project as things change.

I couldn't figure out what project management/team collaboration tool to use. So I started @capiche. Capiche sold for 7 figures and has answered 1000s of Q's for millions of visitors. But, alas, still not this one. WTF PROJECT MANAGEMENT/TEAM COLLABORATION TOOL SHOULD I USE??
