My cousin and I wanted to paint our pumpkins based on our fun experience buying chocolate sprinkled donuts from the donut shop. 🍩 When in the classroom students love to base their art pieces on their personal experiences. Painting pumpkins is a fun fall activity.🎃

#OrangeShirtDay I chose to paint an inukshuk on a rock to honour the Indigenous communities. This symbol represents all the innocent lives that were lost due to the residential schools.🪨 This rock painting activity is a great activity to implement when in the classroom. 🎨

The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein is a good resource book to read with students. Students can be taught lessons about family, giving to others, being thankful, happiness and love. 🍎 An activity for the students would be to create their own giving tree. 🌳

Today, the kinders and I created echo art. We first traced our hands and then continued to draw lines around the hand in order to create a ripple effect. 🖐 We also focused on warm and cool colours. 💙💜❤🧡💛
