Just updated optimizetoolset.com use to the latest @____lighthouse 5.2 release. 🙌 Now you can see which third-party resources are dragging down your site’s performance.

Kind of amazing the optimizations you can make in just an hour or so and how that can greatly improve the experience and discoverability of a site. Here’s an example of the Accessibility and SEO boosts after an hour of tweaks for a client project I am working on.

I’ve been dealing with some funky results from Lighthouse tests since June 1st, coupled with queues bugging out or not working at all, but think all those issues are finally behind me (at least for now). More testing, but pushing for @OptimizeToolset’s initial launch soon!

Sweating this one, but it looks like the queue refactoring I did for @OptimizeToolset is really paying off. I was able to drop background test processing time from 1h 51m to 0h 45m! 😃 This also prioritizes new and adhoc tests to run before the background ones. What next…🤔

I’ve been refactoring the queueing system that @OptimizeToolset uses for running @____lighthouse tests. Close to having it setup to handle background jobs and prioritizing adhoc requests nicely. This graph reflects the testing process, and captures my mood during dev pretty well

Added a toggle for all Lighthouse Tests to choose between either no report emails (new default), or the option to receive a daily report email (default from when daily reports were added last week). Soon, you will have the option for a weekly report! 🙌 What’s your preference?

Putting in some work on @OptimizeToolset this weekend. Re-wrote the Lighthouse Test form and consolidated url management into it. Could probably still be nicer, but definitely an improvement over what was there. Oh, and now you can edit and delete tests!

Sometimes you have to put in a little extra work to make things nice. Doubly so when it comes to building emails. Wrote a quick service to dynamically render these progress circle images for @OptimizeToolset. It’s getting there! About to send out a few more invites. Want one!?

Stoked. Just added an initial welcome flow to optimizetoolset.com. Tried to channel my own out-of-body experience and put myself in the shoes of someone coming to this with fresh eyes. A challenging and humbling–and kind of exhausting–exercise, but I hope it helps 🙏

Getting some initial feedback from early testers and they all seem to love the fact they can include multiple urls for their site(s) and run the tests and get the results via a simple dashboard. More features on the way, but so far so good! 🤙 Want in? optimizetoolset.com
